Having been a resident of Alabang several year ago, and for a good number of years, I remember driving with my husband and/or friends/close neighbors on weekend nights to nearby Westgate or Alabang Town Center to look for places to eat and hang out in.

We almost always end up in the same places because that time, there really were few nice places to eat and we all are, somehow creatures of habit. After dinner in (almost) the same places, we would end up hanging out in either our home, or a friend`s or neighbor`s home, doing the same things- which involve looking at the stars while enjoying wine and/or conversations till the wee hours of the morning.

Then recently, I was invited to this place.

The Bellevue Hotel’s newest hotspot: the Vue Bar stands out in the partying scene with its almost 360 º panoramic view of Alabang. The uber-chic establishment boasts of state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, making it the perfect venue to listen to good, chill-out music or groove to the foot-stomping live entertainment.

And this is where the rock-eoke showdown will be…

Who would know that just 2 years after we left Alabang, the city`s premier hotel, The Bellevue, would introduce `The VUE Bar` one of the most fantastic hang out places, with a magnificent view of, well, both stars and more! The place is beyond words! And bec of that, I`ll let the pictures speak for itself.

Can you already imagine you and your friends on a fun and intimate get-together amidst the breathtaking sight of the Alabang city skyline?

You`ll see The VUE Bar in the next issue of Wedding Essentials magazine as we present it as an alternative venue for a wedding reception.

Since opening early this month, hip and happening sounds (from cool bands to positive reviews from people living in the nearby villages) have been coming from this place.

And as more and more couples are having `after the reception party` parties, here`s another option that will surely make a cool choice, =)

Going back to `living in Alabang`, here`s a little trivia:
At one time, out of then 3 wedding magazines in the Philippines, all three editors-in-chief lived in the same village in Alabang. And at several instances, the 2 wedding magazine editors (out of 3) ate at the same place. =P

Maybe if the VUE was already open then, we all would have bumped into one another somewhere here, =)

At the right end of the bar is the toilet, which has an amazing view of the SLEX , and is quite similar to that of the chic bar Felix at the Peninsula in Hong Kong, where the view is of the harbour.
